Messiah Missions For Africa is now registered with Amazon’s  “AmazonSmile” Program…

We are so pleased and so blessed to be recognized and selected by Amazon as a registered US Nonprofit 501(c)(3) Organization…   Amazon has created a fantastic way to help fund Nonprofits such as Messiah Missions For Africa’s K-12 School in Liberia…  With .5% of the proceeds donated for every purchase made through the AmazonSmile Website…  Unfortunately we missed the Christmas buying season, but that’s okay, we now have this important relationship with Amazon in place and all AmazonSmile purchases/donations  from now on are good throughout the year and especially for all Christmases that follow…

Simply go to the AmazonSmile Website: http://smile.amazon.com/ and select Messiah Missions For Africa as your Charity of choice and .5% of each of your Amazon purchases will be donated to The Messiah Mission Institute K-12 School in Liberia…

Building a Business Plan Around the ‘Engine for Good’

But what if it were profitable to do good? What if the more good a company did for the world, the more profits it made? Could we reverse our destructive path?

As an MBA student in the mid-’90s, I was awed by the power of the markets. Business models that generate profits are often able to steamroll over any obstacle in their path. Instead of fighting this force head-on, I figured we could use some business jujutsu to redirect that power for good.

That was my goal when I started Care2, now a 27-million-member online community. I call our business model an “Engine for Good” because it is fueled by good actions and its output is good actions. Literally, the more good people do, the more…

THE SCHOOL

We thank God for your prayers and supports for Messiah Mission Institute.   Thank God that the 94 senior students that sat for the West African Examination Council all passed.

Due to the State of Emergency and the Ebola outbreak, the schools have been closed for the past three months.  The President has partially lifted the State of Emergency and schools are preparing for reopening.

During the State of emergency, many breadwinners of families lost their jobs, especially private school teachers and administrators.

Due to closings of schools, private institutions, local businesses, and NGOs, organizations were unable to pay their employees.  Messiah Mission Institute, is indebted to our teachers for three months pay.  Please, pray with us for the funds.

Thank God that the state of emergency is now partially lifted and the President is requesting that all schools prepare for reopening for the 2014/2015 school years.

Messiah Mission Institute is preparing for the reopening of the school but we are in need of your prayers and support for the following items:

Half payment for administrators and instructional staff…

 Repair of classrooms and offices…

Repair of chairs and chalkboards…

 One Generator 5 KVA…

Repair of buildings (roof, paint and floors)…

Purchase of new textbooks for teachers use…

Instructional materials ( notebooks, chalks, dusters, roll books)…
